Walkway to the heaven that is your bed
Oftentimes passages and entryways are forgotten spaces, but we know they are the trailer to the visual theatre we style our bedrooms as. Passageways are also transitional spaces that connect the different aesthetics of a house. With this tiny but impactful space we added these beautiful glass work pendants that add old-time charm, earthy Vintage tiles that add a strong visual pattern to liven up the space and statement making doors that are straight out of a fairytale book!
When it comes to decoding a style, we always make multiple moodboards so the client, their personality and the final design sync together harmoniously!
The true sense of Bohemia lies in being out of the box! Love Vintage but also Eclectic and are a flower child? You don't have to choose! The mere definition of the free-spirited bohemian is to incorporate different styles and making it yours! So for this project we combined all three styles to make it a Vintage Eclectic Bohemian paradise!
For this master bedroom we were going for a Vintage Bohemian vibe with a hint of Eclectic Bohemian! The pastel aged floral motifs were paired with dust rose panelling and an on-trend rattan headboard.
For materials and colours we chose muted pastels and rattan, only to break the monotony with a sticking bone-inlay pattern and brass accents.

Vintage Eclectic Bohemian bedroom of your dreams, a peek into one of our most recent Interior Projects, this master bedroom exudes the cozy comfort you seek after a long day with a muted pastel palette and stunning accent pieces like the bone inlay side tables, brass lamps and on-trend rattan headboard!
These essential details tie the room together in one cohesive and delightful visual.
If your home is your sanctuary let your bath be your spa, this is a place you start your mornings and end your nights in, continue to bring the essence of you behind these doors and you won't be disappointed. We paired the pastel Vintage mood of the master bedroom with an eclectic green cabinet and dust rose pink accents in the master bathroom.
If your home is your sanctuary let your bath be your spa, this is a place you start your mornings and end your nights in, continue to bring the essence of you behind these doors and you won't be disappointed
Spread the romanticism from your heart into your space, these stunning paneled wardrobe doors are a romantic touch to this Vintage Eclectic Bohemian bedroom. The dust rose pink paired with brass handles exudes vintage romance and lets the paneling do the talking!
The Guest bedroom of this home was designed keeping in mind a dual-purpose of serving as a Media room. The TV wall is equipped with no-fuss shelving and minimal yet quirky bohemian décor to compliment the opposite wall
Style your paraphernalia in your space. Taking our client's love for the Industrial Bohemian style we paired all the superhero collectibles with earthy bohemian prints and industrial accents like the concrete wall, piped shelving and an iron trunks a centre table. This space is a reflection of their personality and focuses on how we should surround ourself with our paraphernalia to bring us joy!
To bring in the eclectic bohemian aesthetic from the Master Bedroom we added this cool but muted Zebra print on the blinds that ties the whole space together and compliments the subtle wardrobe and eclectic tabletop décor from around the room.
With so many visual textures and elements on 3 walls we used the wardrobe as a visual break from the industrial eclectic elements. We used mix-matched laminates in warm grays to keep the wall interesting, swapped the hardware with some wood knobs and leather tabs and marble handles. By playing with the hardware we were able to bring back some fun to this wall without making the room chaotic.
The overall décor of this room is an overlap of not just the Industrial and Bohemian styles but also eclectic bohemian. We also added a few touches of pastel blue in the lamp and some art to tie in the living room colour palette and to break the earthy toned palette.
Minimal not boring! A Guest Bathroom is supposed to be clean, simple, easy to maintain and fabulous! So we paired diagonally tiled white subway tiles and paired it with this geometric statement tile on the floor! To break the white and black monotone we added a warm wood with stunning leather pull tabs to luxe-up the space!

We sew the tale of two, with a load of paint and a lot to do. Our muse couple hustle and bustle, one an actor, another a pilot. This passionate duo dreamt of a home to unwind, a home that took them back to their travels to Bali, Greece, Kashmir and happy memories twined.
So we sew a string through each piece of memorabilia to narrate their stories, every wall ornate with treasured paraphernalia of travel, to make their space a sanctuary and a visual novel of their memories!
Bringing love and light into this space we meticulously planned the look to suit the aesthetic of both our clients, a nice middle ground between Vintage Bohemian and Scandinavian Bohemian.
The space was envisioned to encapsulate their travels, love for souvenirs and be a visual diary of their life and journey! Adding simple but accent vintage touches like antique plates on the wall, blue pottery vases and decor in a strongly Scandinavian visual landscape. We added hints of their paraphernalia to make this house a home
We could not have a Vintage Bohemian home without an ode to the aesthetic decades of the past. This tiny detail visually invites every guest for a home that is articulately built to be a visual treat! Though not operational, this letter detail paired with the deco styled handle and cane pendant light bring in so much character to a space a lot of people forget: the entryway!
This paradisiacal living room is a mix of Vintage and Scandinavian Bohemian. The client's request of adding sheer white curtains adds this sense of romance to this space that blackout blinds would never bring! We love when a client’s input totally transforms the space!
We love a house that has memories adorned in every nook and corner and we absolutely love the challenge of incorporating these memorabilia in a space and making them pop!
Here we embraced the sunshine with sheer curtains and tonal textured cushions and of course a touch of Rattan on the cabinet doors to be on trend! We accentuated the wall with some Balinese art to add the worldly personality our clients embody
Here in this nook by the window we created a cozy lounging space, with additional seating attached to the window, here is where we assume a perfect cup of coffee on a rainy day would make memories!
With tonal blues paired with wood and whites we ensured all the travel paraphernalia was styled well to add a touch of bohemian to the space.
Details are everything for us so we incorporated these “ittar bottle” hanging pendant lights in an asymmetric way to add to the old world charm the souvenirs and collectibles were resonating
We designed this Scandinavian Bohemian visual treat for a living room by using the existing furniture and re-vamping it with new pale blue upholstery, to add the hints of Bohemian we paired some mix matched cushion with loads of prints and textures. The highlight of the room has to be the snow-capped mountains wall art, an ode to their annual ski trips
This living and dining area we designed and styled is an Instagram worthy space that resonates with the personalities of those who inhibit it. Full of vintage charm paired with the minimalism of the Scandinavian aesthetic, this home embodies their wandering spirit and love for travel!
To create this beautiful entryway for the passage, we incorporated sabai grass baskets from @attirail.shop paired with @thread101official wall decor and antique china plates from Chor Bazaar! Together this haven of bohemian decor accentuated the custom-made door that ties in the Vintage Bohemian aspect of the space!
We used the extended living room space to turn it into a dining area. It's a common notion that seating 6 on a dining table is the only way, but we spruced things up with 2 chairs and a 3-in-1 bench! It remarkably saves space, reduces visual bulk and creates a minimal functional space!
We added interesting upholstery to the chairs and paired it with some rattan backing to be on trend. We also used an interesting carved wooden frame to create an accent wall with a travel souvenir!
This dining space though small has a lot of function and is perfect for a Mumbai apartment with on-the-go residents!
With the kitchen being the heart of the home and the highlight of quarantined baking sessions, we couldn't help but make this space as beautiful and bohemian as possible!
With pastel cabinets and accents of gold like the handles and taps, this kitchen is simple and minimal with hints of bohemian, featuring the vintage printed tiles, printed planters and some low maintenance plants. A subtle backsplash paired with subtle cabinets are given a luxe spin with the touch of antique gold.

]]>There’s no need to compromise on aesthetics when it comes to styling your kitchen - it can be functional and chic at the same time.
Check out this stellar combination where we paired pastel toned herringbone backsplash tiles and a terrazzo countertop. They come together in perfect harmony. It’s a space saving styling solution that it is waiting to adorn your home!
A fetching kitchen is a must have. It’s craftiness will awaken yours, and inspire you to whip up scrumptious meals on a whimsy! Or maybe cooking is not your cup of tea, but doesn’t hurt to have a pretty little kitchen in your house, right? There are plenty functional cosmetic changes that can add just the right amount of spice and flavour your home perfectly
The classic herringbone pattern is a design staple and using it in the kitchen has its benefits. It serves as a no frills decorative element and also safeguards the wall from food stains and spills.
Not enough space to decorate your kitchen with quirky stuff you see online? Try playing around with colours instead! We layered the space with shades of blue and paired the pastel powder blue with a blush pink accompanied with terracotta grout. To add a touch of luxe, dull gold handles were added! As you can see, it’s Instagram worthy and deftly glamorous. Want to sample some similar looks in your space? Contact us!

This bedroom is a take on the mid century modern aesthetic with some boho embellishments. The defining mid century features include arches, retro accents and an eclectic mix of geometric and boho patterns.
For the couple who inhabit this space, we seamlessly combined their love for mid century modern, retro and boho style to please both their individualistic palettes
To stay true to the mid century aesthetic, we ensured that the colour story of the space was aligned with retro sensibilities. The blues and mustards features here fit the bill to the tee. To balance the sharpness of these striking shades, we also added a soft tone of pale pink. Instead of flatly plastering the wall with all the hues, we set the shades of blue as the base of the bedroom and subsequently layered the other colours in the form of furnishings and adornments. This allowed the colours to stand out uniquely and add depth to the overall space.
The headboard is upholstered with a blue plaid fabric and carries wood paneled extensions to retain the modern touch in this mid century look. The artworks above the headboard make a statement by themselves with their macrame strings and geometric appeal. Further enhancing the aesthetic are the charming side tables standing with aplomb on their retro-esque legs.
We chose to transform the wall opposite the bed into an enticing TV gallery wall. In line with the rest of the space, we wanted to stay true to the mid century modern aesthetic - we achieved this by adding in the quirky rug, by contrasting the ottoman and sofa chair, by filling the gallery wall with memories and keepsakes and by nestling the wooden bookshelf in the corner. These essential details tie the room together in one cohesive and delightful visual.
When it comes to arches, our mantra is juxtapose, don’t impose! They are our favourite mid century architectural element and we always try to naturally introduce them in a space while highlighting them delicately. We accentuated this space by placing an arch between the bedroom and the wardrobe to create a cozy nook. To complement the natural curve of the arch, curtains were added in for a fluid effect. Since arches are the perfect way to frame a view, we adorned the wardrobes in the backdrop with a Shibori wallpaper, crafted by Nilaya Asian Paints, thereby seamlessly bringing together the silhouettes, shapes and shades.
Similar geometric patterns such as chevrons, plaid and stripes brought us a lot closer to achieving a retro aesthetic for the space. The touch of ethnic geometric motifs like ikats, shibori and tribal prints resonate with the classic Indian cultural energy and inject a certain unmissable joie-de-vivre in the surroundings.
This is an homage to the mid century style. We hope this haven of sophistication inspires you to create an artistically elevated space, with Attirail.

"This wedding invitation is adorned with Kangra Paintings created by the bride's mother, Dr. Pramila Srivastava between 1982-2014. The stamp on the envelope was painted by her for the Indian Postal Service back in the day. This is not just an invitation, it is a beautiful tale of a daughter reminding her mother of her dreams and passions. " - Simran Monga
For this narrative set of hand painted imagery we chose to add visual cues of painting tools on a grey background to make the bright crimson pop. We added royal flowers like the rose and lotus to continue the art beyond paper.
"A fresh take on the traditional Indian wedding invites, the design of this floral invitation aligned beautifully with the decor of each event of Mrinali & Vinayak’s Konkan wedding. Embracing their roots, the design entails banana leaves adorned with delicate mogras (jasmine) & marigolds along with gold foil pressing."- Simran Monga
Weddings go synonymous with fresh fragrant blooms, we couldnt help but add to the beauty of these invites with golden marigolds and fragrant mogras complimented with warm wood and brass accents. We added a natural chattai texture to tie all our elements together naturally!
"A story of a Himachali girl meeting a Gujarati boy across continents in an unusual way - two perfectly different hearts, purposed to be one. Visually narrated by us for their wedding with a seamless union of Ikat borrowed from woolen Himachali caps and traditional marigolds from Gujarat. Bringing together the entire narrative with printed and foil pressed wedding invitations and stationery are stunning handwoven Patola silk potlis." - Simran Monga
When geometric lines meet organic prints, its a match like no other! Following the theme of Ikats and Marigolds, The delicious Indian sweet Kaju Katli embodied the spirit of traditional Ikat patterns across a distressed backdrop. Pops of pink and purple hues were complimented with bright marigolds on a warm wooden base adorned with almonds.
" A contemporary take on some good old champa (magnolia) flowers. Complimented with beautiful shades of wine & mint, this design makes up for quite a distinct and elegant aesthetic! .
Also sharing our invitation envelopments - a fusion of the classic envelopes & folders combined into one! Super cool to save on some paper/costs & have the best of both prints." - Simran Monga
Wine & Mint are an unconventional couple yet the tones of magnolias and brass can marry them for life! We aided this merry match with a textured wood backdrop, traditional brass chambus and magnolias to embrace the floral motif and bring out the mint !
"Where high tea at the opulent Samode Palace, Jaipur shares a saucer with our favorite Parle-G from the chaiwala outside, where wine & cocktails clink at the desi theka, where the grand palatial patio greets the bandwala & where, among all the glory & heritage, there sits a pair of desi love birds on the Bagh’s marigold tree.
Here are some beautiful love letters to Samode Palace & the city of Jaipur, from a couple madly in love. Little did they know having their wrists stamped with S&A outside a nightclub in London a few years ago, would lead them on this beautiful journey of togetherness!" - Simran Monga
What says Jaipur more than beautiful arches and the sights of pretty pink bougainvilleas? We took the concept of palatial grandeur meets desi quirk with our inclusion of cutting chai elements in this beautiful set up on a muted distressed grey tile. With pinks on grey and chai with fruit, we definitely maxed out on elegant quirk!
"A Tamilian Bride (Harini) & a Christian-Greek-American Groom (Caleb), reached out to us with their heartwarming love story. In this beautiful inter-cultural wedding invite, our challenge was to make it reflective of both cultures with simplicity and elegance. We brought together mogra (jasmine flowers) along with rich gold of Kanchipuram sarees of Tamil Nadu from the bride, and borrowed intricate Greek motifs from the groom’s side, creating a seamless union of their cultures in the design. The colors of the invite included a spiced wine (chosen dearly by the bride herself) and mint, reflective of the wedding venue, an apple orchard." - Simran Monga
The modern fusion of South India and Greek American cultures calls for elegant dull gold and ornate motifs made of mogras. A distressed frame adds focus to these artistic invites laid out on a wooden backdrop to bring texture and warmth.
" India’s first interactive game wedding invite that turns into a Ludo board, the bride’s favorite childhood game! Reminiscent of her beautiful childhood & times spent with family, this invite was one of the first stories told by Hieco back in 2016 and continues to live on in the hearts & homes of all the guests. Now while you take your time to soak this post in and reminisce yourself, we’ll be right back - it’s our turn to roll the die! " -Simran Monga
Love is a game of two and Hieco's Ludo wedding invite is here to score a six on the die! We brought marigold and champa motifs into the set up with fresh blooms while letting the invites take all the attention with a distressed paneled wooden backdrop. Swipe to watch a Stop Motion to see how the Ludo game invite works!
These are a few of the many shoots we did with Hieco, watch this space as we update it with more of our work! If wedding invites and aesthetic images excite you as much as us then we're sure to see you here soon!
Featured here is a bedroom we styled for a client. As a free-spirited bohemian herself, our client wanted a space that reflected her individualistic style and inspired her to reinvent herself everyday. We took her vision and made it come to life with the patent Attirail charm.
The tone of any room is set by its hues. We chose a mix of earthy warm tones with shades of mustard and rust for this space. Since the room was small and we had to incorporate a four poster bed, we chose white as the primary base colour for the furniture and wardrobes and subsequently layered the additional textures and colours over the whites.
This idyllic white four poster bed with a headboard made from a reused dhurrie, clearly defines the aesthetic of the room. In order to offset the monotony of white on the bed, we crafted two quirky and colourful side tables.
This feature wall is the first thing that you see upon entering the room, therefore we had to make it striking. Painted in a warm shade of mustard,
and adorned with a revamped old sideboard, lots of frames, plates and wall hanging surrounding the TV, this quirky boho Gallery Wall is an ideal setting to entertain company. We also added a custom designed tiffany pendant light in the corner to complete the wall with a vintage boho touch.
WARDROBE DESIGN
Since the wardrobe covered one full side of the bedroom, we saw a chance to play with pattern and texture to spruce up the surroundings without compromising on the functionality of the space. We chose this bold aztec pattern for the wardrobe that was screen printed on cork and sandwiched between the glass and the wardrobe. It made a beautiful statement in the room and gave the flat wardrobe wall a new dimension.
The window wall, opposite the wardrobe wall, is a tranquil area of the space. To balance the various prints and textures in the bedroom, we chose understated curtains. These off white linen sheers with self floral patterns were paired with heavy plain rust curtains with a crochet lace trim, to ensure that we stick to the overall design language of the space.
Our client loves floral motifs and ethnic embroideries so we adorned the room with a lot of textiles in rugs, poufs, cushions and bedspreads.
Our client is a passionate follower of Frida Kahlo’s work and aesthetic and we ensured that the client’s muse was reflected in her space. Indeed, if Frida Kahlo were a space, she would take this form.
