A warm, personal home where family memories, treasured keepsakes, and soft colour come together in perfect harmony
Type: The Identity Affair (Interior Makeover) | Location: Mumbai | Size: Apartment
Scope of the Project
A thoughtful home refresh centred around preserving what already held meaning. By restoring existing furniture, layering in soft colour, introducing custom details, and improving the overall flow of the space, we created a home that feels deeply personal, comforting, and effortlessly lived-in.
The Client Brief
After years of living with a largely neutral palette, the family wanted a home that felt warmer, softer, and more reflective of who they were. They envisioned a space filled with colour and personality, but one that still felt calm and familiar. Most importantly, they wanted to honour the furniture, artwork, heirlooms, and memories they had collected over the years rather than replace them.
Description Notes
The design centred around a soothing palette of dusty rose, sage, and teal, bringing gentle warmth into every room. Existing furniture pieces were restored and reupholstered wherever possible, while treasured artwork, family keepsakes, and collected objects were thoughtfully woven into the design. Every decision was made to ensure the home felt authentic to the people living in it.
Layered wallpapers, handcrafted details, and carefully chosen textiles introduced freshness without overwhelming the home’s original character. Spaces such as the dining area, study corner, and guest rooms were designed with equal attention, balancing beauty with comfort while creating a seamless flow throughout the home.
What emerged is a home that feels quietly joyful and deeply personal. Soft colours create a sense of calm, while meaningful objects and restored pieces tell the family’s story at every turn. Rather than a dramatic transformation, this was a gentle reimagining, one that celebrates memory, comfort, and the beauty of living with things you truly love.
