A complete makeover designed around the belief that a small home should never have to compromise. Through thoughtful zoning, custom details, layered styling, and multifunctional spaces, we transformed this apartment into a home that balances entertaining, everyday living, and the needs of its beloved pets.
The Client Brief
Arundhati and Akshay wanted a home that could do it all. Within a compact footprint, they hoped to fit a dining nook, a bar, smart storage, dedicated work areas, and comfortable spaces for their pets. More than anything, they wanted a home with personality, one that felt warm, playful, and reflective of their lives together.
The challenge was maximizing every square foot without making the home feel crowded or overly functional.
Description Notes
The design began with smart zoning. Rather than treating the apartment as a single open space, we created distinct areas for gathering, working, relaxing, and entertaining. Thoughtful storage solutions helped reduce visual clutter, while mood lighting, layered textures, and a carefully balanced colour palette brought warmth and character throughout the home.
The dining nook quickly became the heart of the home. Designed with just the right amount of drama, it creates an intimate space for everyday meals while still feeling special enough for hosting friends and family. Throughout the apartment, playful pops of colour, custom furnishings, and layered styling details helped create a home that feels lively, personal, and full of character despite its compact footprint.
Because pets were such an important part of the family, we made sure they were considered from the very beginning. Durable materials, pet-friendly choices, and custom illustrated dog and cat portraits were woven into the design, turning everyday functionality into something deeply personal. The result is a home that feels joyful, thoughtful, and beautifully lived-in, proving that even the smallest spaces can hold everything that matters.
